One of Australia's most iconic coin series, the Australian Koala has been a popular design since its inception in 2008. Originally set as an uncapped mintage coin in parallel to the Australian Kangaroo, in more recent years their mintage has been strictly limited, making them popular between investors and collectors alike.

Reverse: depicts a Koala nestled in the crook of a Gumtree, surrounded by eucalyptus leaves. The reverse also features the 2013 year date, weight, purity and the Perth Mint "P" Mint Mark as well as the words "AUSTRALIAN KOALA".
Obverse: features Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the face value.
